This week we had a lot going. The first of the week was more electrical, blah, blah... stuff that needed to be done, but nothing fun to look at.
I'm going to stop and take a minute to brag on my husband. Like I said, the first of this week has been busy with lots of things that needed to be done in a timely manner. He has been working until after dark and then working more after the boys and I go to bed. Being the person that he is, our house has a lot of custom things going into it. That has been quite the time suck over the last few months as far as researching products and different building techniques, finding people that can do and/or install these things, and so on. He has not only been really on top of making sure that it has been getting done, but he has also been working consistently on the other houses that he is building at the moment. That man can multi-task like none other. He has really been working hard and I know it shows with the homes that he builds. He does great work and I am so proud of him! On top of that, he's a super genuine, smart and funny guy that I love to be around. And he's
hot. I'm a lucky gal, thats for sure.
Okay, back to it... :)
On Tuesday, they came out an started insulation. I took the boys to SixFlags (last year we ended up not using Reed's free ticket from reading at school and I didn't want that to happen again this year, so we just decided to up and go). Brian texted me when we were getting ready to leave and said that he thought the boys might get a big kick out of it. He was right - they were still spraying when we got home, so we sat in the garage and watched foam expand for a while...cheap entertainment. :) They finished with the insulation on Wednesday and started sheetrock in the early afternoon. I know things have been happening all along, but I am very visual and sheetrock really helps me feel like we are making progress! The framers were back Friday morning to work on the porch ceiling. So here are this week's pictures:
